Book Manufacturers’ Institute Annual Conference Goes Virtual

The Book Manufacturers’ Institute (BMI) has made the move to virtual for its 2020 Fall Annual Conference. Like most other 2020 events, the decision was made in the interest of the health and safety of our attendees. The Virtual Annual Conference will take place the last two weeks of October and be held over a number of days featuring 1-hour sessions and other networking functions.

“I know we are disappointed to not be able to gather in person for the Annual Conference. However, our Spring Virtual Management Conference was a success and members told us that they enjoyed being able to see each other through Zoom in the absence of real-life networking. The Fall Annual Conference will expand on what we did in the spring and will still be a huge value to members,” said BMI Executive Director Matt Baehr.

The Fall Virtual Annual Conference will feature five 1-hour sessions including an update on government and regulatory issues by Lisbeth Lyons of Printing United Alliance, panels on both the education and trade markets, as well as a virtual tour of the new Planet Word Museum opening this fall in Washington, DC. Attendees will also have separate virtual networking opportunities during the 2 weeks.
